| 9th March 2010: Boys Clubs, Outlaws, Movies, and Libraries Free Music: Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead There was no blog post yesterday because it was my night off and I was hugely busy. I had The Boys Club which was really good. It's taken us a while but I really feel that we're starting to make a difference. It's a feeling supported throughout The Boys Club. The staff are no longer at each other's throats, which is a good thing. As The Vetran says - "Happy staff equals happy customers equals happy money". I was also busy with a bit of coding on my Linux project. It's unfortunate because all that work was potentially for nothing. Which reminds me, I still need to do a bit of work on my entry for the Micro Mart Netbook Distro project. Then I was listening to Linux Outlaws. It's one of my favourite shows on the Internet. I love Fab's ranting and Dan's sense of humour is so acidic at times. It's a perfect match. But they were late due to technical issues. Then I decided to call my friend over for a drink. He stayed a little longer than I anticipated. And then I spent the evening with my beautiful girlfriend and watched Adam with her. Even having watched it twice, it's still a great movie. This being said, I would be tempted to write a movie based on my own experiences. I'm already planning on writing a more Autism themed blog. Maybe it will be picked up by a TV or film company. I think I can make use of a few things I experience at work and in my day to day life. I do plan on cutting loose a little next week. You see, I have next week off. So I want to do a few things I don't really have the time for when I am working. Like maybe spending an afternoon or even a day in Southampton Library. Why? Well, it's quiet, may have wifi, and will almost certainly have sockets. It means I can sit there and code for an afternoon or a day without being interupted or disrupted. Permalink |
